This time next week (4th of March) I will have the pleasure of doing some visuals for Ariel Pink’s Golden Plain’s side show (at The Corner Hotel, Melbourne). I will be collaborating again with Melbourne talents ‘Montero’.

Whilst visual art at live music shows can always be a little daunting (eg. if the songs are played at a different tempo to the recordings that you have based the visual speeds upon) it’s always a delight to work with Mistletone and the ‘Montero’ boys.

This time the visuals will be centred around a variety of pack animals and will use the basic techniques of colour distortion, opacities and overlays. The way animals move in groups has always fascinated me and when teamed with dreamy tunes they almost appear to dance.

If you haven’t caught ‘Montero’ live yet, check out their latest mini doco (as filmed by Vice Magazine).
