Last Friday Ella, Bobby and I decided we would put a submission in for this years ‘Fringe Festival’. Little did we know the deadline was one week away. We needed a solid idea, a confirmed venue, blurb, title and signature image.

Here we are now on the home stretch to complete it by Friday, the venue is booked -thanks to the lovely folk at manysquaremetres (also see post), the ideas are set and today at lunchtime I completed our ‘image’.

All that is left to do now is to finalise our written statement and intent.

Stay tuned for more information on what we propose and the process of actually designing our installation.

We are really excited about this adventure and in particular to be a part of ‘msqmpresents’ ( an artist sponsorship program run by manysquaremetres).

*UPDATE:

Synopsis:
Thermal bathing awakens an awareness of our bodies in space. Shifts in temperature, feelings of weightlessness and the experience of full body immersion, activate our senses beyond the everyday.

In the absence of water, GEYSER explores the potential for architecture to create environments of sensory bathing.  How can sound, light, form and texture heighten our bodies’ response to space?
