Today’s post is relatively brief as I am just about to board a plane to head to sunny Sydney for a couple of days. I have to confess something quite embarrassing, this is actually my first time there.

What better way to share my excitement than to showcase one of the city’s most famous attractions, The Sydney Opera House.

These impressively considered and immaculately drawn images are from the 1962 report from Architect Jørn Utzon (+ his consultants) to council. I am completely blown away by their beauty whilst I marvel in the fact that they have not been generated by a 3D model (like most of my drawings now days).

I hope the final structure in real life lives up to the wonder of it’s construction drawings.
